Menopause is a natural phase of a woman’s life, marking the end of her reproductive years. While this transition is inevitable, the symptoms and discomfort associated with menopause don’t have to be. Managing menopause effectively requires a holistic approach that takes into account both physical and emotional well-being. That’s where my upcoming workshop, “Managing Menopause,” comes in. Join me for an empowering and enlightening event focused on nutrition & exercise, and utilising the power of hypnosis to help you navigate this life-changing period with confidence and ease.
Understanding menopause
Before we dive into the details of the workshop, it’s essential to understand what menopause is and what it entails.
Menopause itself is the 365th day of cessation of menstruation, officially marking the end of a woman’s reproductive years. But the process of hormone change can start much earlier, typically around mid 40’s to early 50’s, though it can vary from person to person. This approach to menopause is known as the Peri Menopause stage. During this time, hormonal changes can lead to a range of symptoms, including hot flashes, mood swings, weight gain, and more.
From 366th day onwards, a woman is in her Post Menopause stage, but the symptoms do not magically stop, and some/ all of them may persist for up to 10 years afterwards. Thankfully, this topic is more openly talked about these days – not least because of high profile celebrities like Davina McCall and campaigns like World Menopause Day. But there’s still a long way to go…
Education within the medical profession is not as extensive or far-reaching as it should be, if it’s part of the curriculum at all! And with increasing numbers of women wanting an alternative to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), those of us preparing to enter or already well into our ‘Second Spring’ will do well to look at what we can do to help ourselves.
Managing Menopause – balancing mind, body & soul
Here at Bringing Balance, I offer a holistic approach to managing this transition. When supporting my clients through this life change, I focus on mind, body and soul. The physical symptoms may be the most obvious place to start, but the mental & emotional affects of the menopause are crucial to address too.
An important aspect of navigating the menopause with more ease, is taking care of your body through proper nutrition and exercise. This workshop will provide guidance on making smart food choices, and highlight the role that exercise has to play in managing symptoms.
Join me online for an informative, interactive workshop & learn about the foods that can help balance your hormones, reduce hot flushes, and manage weight gain. We’ll discuss hydration, healthy fats, and essential nutrients.
And then relax and enjoy 30 minutes of a guided hypnotic meditation to support your emotional well-being. Menopause can bring about emotional challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and stress. The group hypnosis session is designed to soothe your mind, ground you and promote inner peace. Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can help you manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve sleep quality, all of which are critical during this life transition.
Join me online on Wednesday 25th October, 21.00 CET/ 20.00 UK. Here’s the link to register for your FREE place in this hour-long workshop – click here
